If you’d like to attend a taught workshop, please head to the ‘Workshops & Sessions’ tab above
I run ‘Print Club’ in a communal art studio that I manage; West Hove Art Studio in Hove, East Sussex
Here, printmakers can make use of a spacious studio and have open access to the following facilities as part of their sessions:
A 60 x 100cm Tofko roller press which is suitable for relief or intaglio printmaking
A 40 x 60cm Tofko relief press
A range of artist quality durathene and rubber rollers
Inking plates, palette knives & barens for handprinting
Artist quality Pfeil linocutting tools, Japanese woodcut tools & safety bench hooks
Cranfield oil based water-washable inks in a range of colours
A ball drying rack & two table top racks for prints to dry between sessions
Table space for printmakers to set up their own work areas
Shared planchest to store artwork between sessions
Newsprint & acid free tissue paper
Consumables
Lino and paper are available to purchase at sessions at the same prices as our local art shop Lawrence Art Supplies, or you can head to this shop on the way to us to buy what you need.
The sessions are not taught, but I am on hand as a supervisor during them. As I specialise in relief printmaking, I am only able to assist with queries that relate to this medium, but if you are an intaglio printmaker you are welcome to come along, providing you know what you’re doing and you bring any materials that aren’t listed above.
Opening hours & location:
West Hove Studio, 16 Kingsthorpe Road, Hove, BN3 5HR
Select Mondays 10am - 2pm & Wednesdays 4.30 - 8.30pm
To book a session please head here
Printmakers will also be required to pay an annual membership fee of £20 by direct debit in order to join the club which you can do here but you can come to one session before becoming a member to check if Print Club is definitely for you!
