Backstreet (second)
One print being sold at a mega discount as part of Super Seconds Festival due to the fact that I have since decided to print the rest of the edition onto brighter white paper on bigger paper so that it fits in a standard frame.
A linocut I created from a photograph I took of a backstreet in Hove, East Sussex; near where I live. I’m very drawn to fire escapes, and there was something about the perspective of the buildings leaning in towards the central fire escape that I found aesthetically pleasing. I really enjoy linear marks, and through the medium of linocut I really felt like I was able to celebrate this by using this particular composition.
An edition of 20 linocut prints on Japanese pure white silk paper and printed using oil based relief inks, they are 25 x 36cm in size and are sold unframed. Prints will be backed with mount board and wrapped in cellophane packaging.
