I used a slightly different linocutting technique to carve this bird; taking my love of detail to a new level through particularly intricate and stylised mark making, similarly to with my other recent print ‘Swift, in Flight’.
I wanted to celebrate my love of the ornate, folk art and tattoo imagery whilst pushing the limits of carving.
Printed onto Okawara 51gsm Japanese paper
