'You are not your thoughts' linoprinted tote bag

A natural canvas cotton totebag printed with linocarved text created by me which states ‘You are not your thoughts’.

I wanted to create a text based design which speaks out to those of you that feel you can relate to this notion, whether it be because you suffer with intrusive thoughts or anxiety yourself or are an advocate for speaking out and supporting mental health.

It’s a statement which needs to be constantly re-enforced to us all, because our brains can have the tendency to fall back into dark places. By wearing this bag you will remind yourself and others around you that we are all not our thoughts.

I used a range of typography fonts for each word in the statement to echo my love of letterpress printmaking, inking up each linocarved word with oil based ink and printing directly onto totebags on my press in my home studio.
